PolyTerra ™ PLA is a new, greener generation of filaments from Polymaker, designed from the ground up to be environmentally friendly. It is a combination of organic minerals and PLA, which significantly reduces the content of plastics and creates a more ecological 3D printing material.
This material prints just like PLA, so you won't need to change any print settings. In addition, in some properties (for example bridging or overhang) it achieves better results than classic PLA. The resulting print has a beautifully matte surface, which better hides the layer lines.
The mechanical properties of PolyTerra ™ offer a wide range of potential applications, as the material is harder than regular PLA but maintains the same stiffness as PolyMax PLA. The extraordinary toughness of this material allows you to print anything from figurines to various accessories. It is also characterized by very easy removal of supports.
All this allows you to push the boundaries of your prints and create increasingly complex models that are functional, durable and matte. The resulting prints can be sanded easily.
There are 4 pastel colors and 10 natural colors that are inspired by nature.
PolyTerra ™ is wound on a fully recycled cardboard spool. Recycled boxes and labels are also used in product packaging. Information sheet and flyers are only available online to reduce waste.
For every coil sold, Polymaker plants one tree to reduce the carbon footprint of this product's production. Once a tree reaches maturity, it has the ability to absorb 22 kg of carbon dioxide each year, offsetting the 4 kg needed to create PolyTerra™.
