PolyTerra-PLA is a new and ecological generation of filaments from Polymaker, designedto be environmentally friendly. It is a combination of organic minerals and PLA, which significantly reduces the content of plastics and creates a more environmentally friendly 3D printing material. This material works the same way as PLA, so you don't need to change any printing settings. In addition, for example when using bridging or overhangs, it achieves better results than "normal" PLA. The final model has a beautiful matt color, which hides the layer lines well.
The mechanical properties of PolyTerra ™ offer a wide range of potential applications, as the material is harder than conventional PLA, but at the same time maintains the same rigidity as PolyMax PLA. The extraordinary toughness of this material allows you to print anything from figures to various accessories. It is also characterized by very easy removal of supports. All this allows you to push the boundaries of your printouts and create increasingly complex models that are functional, durable and matte.
Printouts can be easily sanded. There are 4 pastel colors and 10 natural colors fully inspired by nature. PolyTerra ™ is wound on a fully recycled cardboard spool. Recycled boxes and labels are also used for packaging. The information sheet and leaflets can only be found online to reduce waste.
On top of that, for each spool sold, Polymaker will plant one tree to reduce the carbon footprint of this product. Once a tree reaches adulthood, it has the ability to absorb 22 kg of carbon dioxide each year to balance the 4 kg needed to create PolyTerra ™.
