PCTG (polycyclohexylenedimethylene glycol) as a great alternative to Pet-G. Both of these filaments rank among polyesters. However, PCTG offers other advantages compared to its more popular counterpart, namely significantly increased impact toughness, temperature and chemical resistance and transparency (for transparent shades), making it an excellent alternative to the PET-G. This fiber does not require a heated chamber, so it is ideal for use with commonly available home 3D printers. The fiber is adequately stiff and high dimensional stability is guaranteed for prints. Low shrinkage prevents the model cracking, which makes the material easy to print even for users without much experience with 3D printing.
In the character of the shock strength in a sample with a zRub using the Method Method reaches PCTG 90 kJ/m
2 (compared to PET-G: 5-8 kj/m
2 ). PCTG also resists chemicals while maintaining resistance to higher temperatures (up to 76 ° C).
Fiberlogs PCTG is recyclable and for Pure TR version is approved for food contact. Material does not contain BPA.
