Fibrex ™ PP + GF30 is made using a special polypropylene copolymer reinforced by 30% glass fiber, which was created specifically for 3D printing. This composition offers improved thermal properties, lower shrinkage and deformation compared to other compounds based on PP.
3D printed parts PP + GF30 can be found in a wide range of real and functional uses, prototypes in the automotive industry, machining aids, clamping products, tools, devices and sports goods.
advantages:
- excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals
- low density and weight
- low shrinkage and deformation
- does not absorb moisture, no need to dry!
- high strength, stiffness and impact resistance
- low density and weight
Chemical resistance:
Print properties may vary depending on the print environment, the geometry of the 3D model and the print surface, so it is always necessary to perform their own testing. In general, however, polypropylene is known for its chemical resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including:
- acid: acetic, boric, hydrochloric, phosphorus, stearic, sulfur, urea
- principles: ammonia hydroxides, barya, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium span>
- solvent: acetone, ethanol, mek, phenol (10%), water span>
Recommended Print Settings: Filament reinforced with glass fibers Glass fibers are aligned along the axis of polypropylene filament. As a result, this material has many desirable mechanical properties such as high strength, stiffness, chemical resistance and low thermal expansion. For these reasons, the fiber reinforced with glass fibers is very popular in automobile, engineering, building and research industries.
