Lw-Asa is a follow-up to the successful LW-PLA Filament, which was the first of its kind by the Dutch manufacturer Colorfabb. Both of these materials use active foam technology to create light 3D printed parts with low density. At about 230 ° C, the material starts to foam and up to almost three times increases its volume. Nevertheless, 3D printing is very accurate with an amazingly matt surface that is easy to work.
You can also greatly shorten the printing time using large layer heights or extra thick individual perimeters.

As well as conventional ASA materials, LW-ASA is characterized by resistance to temperatures up to 96 ° C and can be used without problems in the outdoor environment, which guarantees its UV stability. LW-ASA, however, is more prone to deformation during printing compared to LW-PLA.
to accurate printing and to achieve your desired properties you need for LW ASA material fine printing and optimization.

It depends on speed, temperature and flow. To control the LW ASA expansion, focus on these print parameters, which allows you to change the density of materials of different parts on a particular model.
Colorfabb for LW ASA recommends four phases of printing printing to achieve maximum expansion at a given speed, temperature and flow.

Reduction of flow also means less filament consumption. Therefore, with LW-ASA material, two to three times as many parts can be printed as with normal Asa Filament.
